Since the dawn of life it has been for her
For the sweet scent of peppermint lingering heavily in the wind
For the calm thrust of the indigo waves, glistening on the last rays of an afternoon sun
For the rocky soil of highest peak where the angels watch us play from the heavens
For the soft white of winter snow on a chilly December night
For the field of colors that weave together in a sea of petals that stretch out to the horizon
For the deep golden yellow of Gloriosa daisies
For the vibrant pink of dahlias
For the rich, silky orange of Tiger lilies covered in chocolate spots
For the trees that erect higher than a thousand men
For the music of the birds that dances in the wind like magic
For the books whose blank pages were wielded from her flesh
For the Mother of all things Who has lived for a million years before us and will outlast us for a million more
For her
