How can you help?
The Power of One
1. Speak up: Let’s bring discussions about conservation center-stage. Please forward the web link of this newsletter to one or more people. (www.wildlifeinspotlight.com)
2. Take notice: I encourage you to take one minute every day to really notice an animal or bird, an insect or a tree or a flower. Why? Because if you don’t notice it today you will not realized what you missed if tomorrow it is gone forever.
3. Pledge your support: Pledge $1 or more to wildlife conservation. If every person pledged $1 after reading this newsletter we raised $150 in one day (I shared the web link with 150 people via email). You probably are already supporting the cause but I am asking for an additional $1 in honor of the spotlight animal. Please send your contribution directly to an organization of your choice. (Please see, ‘Who to support’ on the Current Issue or Past Issue page for a list of organizations.)
Let’s assume this information on conservation reaches one thousand people in the next few months or a year. That would translate to one thousand people actively talking about conservation. One minute a day would turn into three hundred sixty-five thousand minutes spent noticing something big or small in nature and we would collectively have raised one thousand dollars for wildlife conservation!
