Welcome to my website about wildlife conservation. The purpose of this website is to bring conservation to the forefront, by raising awareness through education and showcasing people and organizations that advocate for all things conservation and Nature!
We all get caught up in the daily rhythms of life, and it is easy to miss the details related to these ongoing concerns. For me, although I knew that the African lion population was declining I had not realized until recently that their status had changed to Endangered and that they are fewer than 20,000 left in the wild (Panthera). Or that the United States is the second largest market for ivory trade (The New York Times). We often have a general idea but not specifics or a timeline of events. This website attempts at shedding some light on the above said by focusing on a species or subspecies in each issue and advocating for its protection.
“For me, losing biodiversity means losing beauty and a wealth of knowledge and resources, including possibilities for curing diseases. It’s like peeling out pages from a book we’ve never read, then burning them...” Zoltan Takacs,Herpetologist/Toxinologist,
